David Puckett is a Licensed Prosthetist/Orthotist and is a native of Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Behavior in Business and Psychology. He received his post-graduate degrees in Orthotics and Prosthetics in 1987 and is Board Certified and Licensed in Prosthetics and in Orthotics. He has over 30 years of experience in the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics and enjoys sharing that gift with those that are less fortunate in impoverished nations.
David specializes in High Tech/High Performance Artificial Limb and Orthopedic Bracing care and has over 27 years of experience in the field. David is the President and Owner of Positive Image Prosthetics and Orthotics, Inc. and is the founder of PIPO Missions, Inc.
David has been recognized by CNN as a 2008 Hero and was given the 2009 Ellis Island NECO Award, which is presented annually to American citizens of diverse origins who have made exceptional contributions to their communities, their nation, and the world. He was one of 98 in the world presented this honor. He was also awarded a key to the City of Savannah, Georgia by Mayor Otis Johnson in 2009 as recognition for his philanthropic work in Mexico and Colombia.
